These cookies have both cocoa powder and chocolate chips for double chocolate. Be sure to add the optional peppermint extract. Enjoy the yum!

1/2 cup (113g) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup (99g) granulated sugar
1/2 cup (106g) brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1½ cups (181g) all-purpose flour
1/4 cup (21g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (170g) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract (optional)
1½ inch (4 cm) balls
2 inches (5 cm) apart
Bake at 350°F (180°C)
